David Schulz is an enigma.
Why, you may ask and I’ll come to that, but first things first, some information on the man: David Schulz is 21 years old and currently studies English and American Studies as well as religious studies at the University of Hamburg. His brother taught him to play the guitar and this is what first made David value music and evoked the desire to make music himself, as he had only had piano lessons before and they weren’t as fun. What also inspired David and made him want to write his own texts and lyrics was the 90s band Nirvana, who he admired for their way of finding the right words. Music, to David, is a way of life, a basic instinct, a basic need; in the interview with *tba he mentioned that he could not simply not write and sing, it’s unthinkable, to him singing is as intuitive as breathing.
But the question remains: what is the aforementioned enigma? Well, David currently doesn’t have any creative content up online, which definitely creates an air of mystery and which will also leave you – hopefully pleasantly – surprised this thursday, when you get to see him live!
