Aren’t we all hollow shells
Mindlessly walking around –
One foot in front of the other –
Without even noticing?
Aren’t we all numb hearts
Broken far too many times
Still giving in to trust
Never ending the cycle?
Aren’t we all suffering from insomnia
Worry clawing at us in the darkest hours
Tired eyes, never tired minds
Overthinking everything?
Aren’t we all human?
