I miss you so much, my love.
I can’t wait to hold you in my arms again,
And inhale this familiar smell of yours.
I’m sure I’ll shed a tear or two.
It’s been way too long, I’m sorry.
I’m sorry for not being next to you,
But I always have you on my mind and in my heart,
And when those memories start calling,
I can’t help but smile.
You are the one person that can comfort me,
Even when you’re not around.
Only one thought is needed to remember it all.
Your voice, your smile, your eyes.
Those eyes that look like mine.
The green of a cypress intertwined with grey,
Of a cloudy sky that’s about to open up.
Mysterious but warm and calm.
They’re surrounded by a beautiful set of lashes
And those little wrinkles left behind
As a mark of passionate laughter.
I miss you.
