If I had the chance
to be someone else,
even for only a day,
I wouldn’t hesitate
to be someone
I’m not
If I had the chance
to decide who I was
I would be brave,
strong and happy and
I wouldn’t hesitate
to leave this life
If I had the chance
to stop this pain,
all of it at once,
I wouldn’t hesitate
free
again
Chances are given
to people who believe –
believe in themselves –
and those who don’t
suffer
until Death swallows them.
