Dining Diaries: Mamalicious

Dear Diary,

pancakes are a pile of soft layers of wheat sent from carb heaven. Pour some Canadian maple syrup over them and add whipped cream on top to experience the sweet taste of transcendental happiness.

I found a place that serves this heaven on a plate: Mamalicious. Right next to Schanze, Mamalicious is a place where vegans, vegetarians, and meat lovers can enjoy a happy meal together. Whenever friends ask me for a place to meet, I suggest this American/Candadian diner. It serves not only pancakes (a stack of 3 for around 7€) but also bagels, burgers, Eggs Benedict and other tasteful creations. I love the large menu and friendly faces at/of Mamalicious. The prices are affordable but you can only pay cash so don’t forget to have money in your wallet before you enter food heaven.

The interior is colorful and holds numerous tables, however, you cannot reserve tables so either do not stop by around 12/5pm (from personal experience the most popular times), or bring patience to wait until you’re seated.

My sister claims that Mamalicious’s milkshakes are pure delight. So I suggest a milkshake and pancakes on a rainy day or for Sunday brunch. Or just a tasty cup of coffee.

If you’re in dire need for some comfort food, try Mamalicious! You won’t be disappointed!
