*tba presents: EEYES

1. Who are you/ What do you study?

Fabian, 23, Sociology and Musicology.

Jan, 24, Music and English to become a teacher. We are 50% of EEYES, our fourpiece band, and we’ll perform some of our songs.

2. Who or what inspired you to start making music?

Fabi: At the age of 13, I realized many people around me had started making music or played an instrument. I was suprised that just a few notes can carry such emotions. I wanted to express myself in a way that combines my feelings with my creativity. And it worked well!

Jan: R.E.M., Biffy Clyro, Circa Survive, Daughter, Joni Mitchell.

3. How long have you been playing an instrument or singing?

We’ve been making music together for almost seven years now. We both have been playing the guitar for … decades, if you add it up. Fabi is a versatile drummer and bassist as well, while Jan tries his best to get along with the piano. And singing, someone has to do it.

4. How would you describe your style?

Progressive Indie-Rock. We like doing something different, we like to surprise, confuse and lead to something unexpected.

5. Random fact:

We always (!) answer our mails immediately.

holly, jolly book recs for the holidays

This time around Robin, award-winning literature critic, is not here to rant but to be wholesome. He talks about books he has enjoyed throughout this impossible year. Books you might be interested in yourself or feel like gifting to your co-worker Bethany. Robin also talks about being quirky and his only interest at this point, which sadly enough is Star Wars.
