Go find your sleeping bag and the old tent, the sun is out. Pack your bags, cheap wine and dancing shoes, it is festival time.
Immergut in Neustrelitz is a small festival known for its Indie-Electro music and has, with only 5000 visitors, a nice familiar atmosphere.
The line-up is admittedly not as overwhelming as your average MTV festival, but you might get the chance to see some bands that still need your support, bands that are still unknown and bands that still want to get known.
Alongside a football tournament, an art exhibition you can take part in, readings as well as your usual festival gigs and club this festival should be marked tba-red in your calendar.
The 2011 line-up goes as follows:
Balthazar, Brandt Brauer Frick, Darwin Deez, dEUS, Frank Spilker, Gisbert Zu Knyphausen, Hans Unstern & Band,Herrenmagazin, Jason Collett, Jürgen Kuttner, Mogwai, Nagel, Nôze, Ra Ra Riot, Retro Stefson, Station 17, Those Dancing Days, Tino Hanekamp, Touchy Mob and Who Knew. More to follow.
A few fun facts to round the whole thing up a bit. If you come by car you have to car share to get the best parking places. (Cars with only two passengers for instance will have to park farther away from the camping site) If you want to partake in the art exhibition you can mail your ideas to the organizers and become famous .
The actual festival takes place on the last weekend of May, official start is Friday 27th at 2.30pm and tickets are 50€ for three days of pure bliss…
